San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Summary
on July 25, 2013
I went to SDCC this year with David, Lydia, and her friend Rory. This year wasn’t as exciting as last year’s, but I still had a lot of fun attending panels and roaming the Exhibit Hall.
Things I did at SDCC:
- Attended the Dreamworks Animation Filmmaker Focus panel, which showcased Turbo, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and How to Train Your Dragon 2. Got a HTTYD2 lithograph by Drew Struzan and even got it signed!
- Finally made it to the Mythbusters panel after missing it for the past couple years. Jaime and Adam are a joy to listen to.
- Watched Mark Brooks demonstrate his skill with markers, which resulted in me buying some new art supplies to try out.
- Randomly ran into an old coworker twice, which I find amazing since there’s so many people.
- Met up with Bryan and his friend Tim, and ran around with them to find the line for the Lego raffle.
- Brought my Nintendo 3DS and tried StreetPass for the first time. I tagged 200+ people while I was there, but I’m sure it could have been much higher if I had checked more often.
- I was tired of walking around on Saturday and slipped into a pilot screening of The Tomorrow People. The first episode had an interesting twist ending, but I don’t think I’d continue to watch it
